「Duck face」是什么意思？
今天我们要说的短语跟最近很火的鸭子（Duck）有关，
它就是Duck face 。
不过它的意思可不是「鸭子脸」，而是我们常说的“拍照时的嘟嘟嘴” 。
Duck face is a photographic pose, which is well known on profile pictures in social networks. Lips are pressed together as in a pout and often with simultaneously sucked in cheeks.
嘟嘟嘴是拍照时的一种姿势，常见于社交网络的用户头像 。拍照者一般会挤嘴巴，做出嘟嘟的表情，同时会吸住两颊 。
例如：
Here's what people really think when you make a 'duck face' in your selfie.
你自拍的时候嘟嘟嘴，旁人的真实想法是这样的 。
英语中，跟duck（鸭子）有关的俚语还有很多，比如：
As happy as a duck in Arizona:
像亚利桑那州的鸭子一样，指“不开心“ 。鸭子喜欢水，但是亚利桑那州是一个异常干旱的州 。
Dead duck:
A person or thing that is useless or hopeless. 没用或者绝望的人 。
例如：If I fail that test, I'm a dead duck.
如果不能通过这次考试，我就死定了 。
Take to (something) like a duck to water：
做某事如鸭子戏水一样容易
He took to acting like a duck to water.
演戏对他来说易如反掌 。
【Duck face可不是鸭子脸 duck】Sitting duck:
Something that is unprotected and vulnerable to an easy attack. 不受保护的、脆弱的、容易收到攻击的事物
The senator was a sitting duck because of his unpopular position on school reform.
因为他的改革方案不受待见，这位议员受到了攻击 。
